What are summer dresses?

Summertime is the perfect time of year to embrace summer dresses that can keep us cool whilst looking chic and put together. The summertime can be one of the trickiest seasons to know what to wear, especially as warmer temperatures and humidity can leave us looking and feeling more frazzled than we need to.

There are no rules for who can wear a summer dress, as it’s a style that suits all body shapes and figures; it’s down to personal preference on what style you choose to wear. Midi dresses and long maxi dresses can be perfect if you want to cover up and divert attention away from certain areas. Mini dresses can be perfect for showing off your legs and staying cooler when the weather is warmer.

When should I wear summer dresses?

As soon as the weather gets warmer and the temperature begins to rise it's time to reach for lighter options in our wardrobe. dresses?

Summer dresses can be easily dressed up or dressed down and pairing a dress with flat sandals and a pair of sunglasses can be the perfect minimal summer look. Equally, a summer dress can be worn with a blazer and dressed up for the office or thrown on over a bikini for the perfect beach dress outfit.

For nighttime, you can also style a summer dress into the perfect evening dress by adding heels, bolder makeup and metallic accessories. Silver and gold jewellery can add a luxury touch to a summer outfit, and mixing metals can be a great way to add different tones to your look.
